EACA IMPACT Awards 2022 Winners Are Here!

The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) and its IMPACT Council have announced the winners of the 2022 IMPACT Awards for Interactive Marketing, Promotion and Activation.

The IMPACT Council represents the European standard for brand activation and integrated marketing communication. Their voice speaks for an industry that embodies an enormous share of marketing spend and exceptional creative solutions.

20 winners representing 10 agencies from 4 countries were selected by a jury panel composed of almost 20 leading industry professionals from across Europe, chaired by Alvaro Alés, CEO of 360º Marketing & Communications.

Alvaro Alés, CEO of 360º Marketing & Communications & IMPACT Awards Jury Chair, commented: “This year the European Jurors have had a difficult task. We had to evaluate the campaigns of a period marked by COVID-19, in which some European Marketing Awards have not taken place. Despite this, the creative effort has been enormous, as demonstrated by the winning Italian campaign. It is a clear example of what the agencies that belong to the EACA IMPACT Council do across Europe.”

With a total sum of 11 trophies, Czech Republic took the lead of this edition. Italy secured the second position with 5 trophies, followed by Ireland and Spain with 2 trophies each.

The Grand Prix for an exceptional work was presented to DLV BBDO, for their campaign The Sign Dance for the Italian National Deaf Association. ISL (Italian Sign Language) was recognised in 2021 as an official language. However, its small number of users make deaf people very isolated. Together with the client, the agency thought of a way to deal with the problem. They brought to the table a completely different style of communication on the topic: simple, light, funny. To normalize the topic of deafness, presenting it in a pop way, as something we can all interface with.

Marianna Ghirlanda, CEO, DLV BBDO, said: “The Sign Dance is the proof that it is possible to turn a trend into something meaningful and positive. I’m very proud of it! It was a big challenge. We wanted to make a relevant social impact taking another step towards integration of deaf people with a media budget of 0€. And we made it!.”

The call for entries for the 2023 edition will open in September 2023. For more information, please visit the Awards website.
