EACA joins the European Commission’s Artificial Intelligence Alliance
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Alliance is a multi-stakeholder forum for engaging in a broad and open discussion of all aspects of AI development and its impact on the economy and society. It is steered by the High-Level Expert Group on AI (AI HLEG), which consists of 52 experts selected by the Commission from industry and academia.
Input from EACA and other members of the Alliance will be sought in making mid- and long-term policy recommendations on AI-related challenges and opportunities. The European Commission is seeking support for its European AI Strategy, which addresses policy aspects, ethical, legal and societal issues. So far, no legislation on AI is on the horizon.
EACA has facilitated, supported and encouraged discussions around AI already a few years back in the context of the Evolution Lab conference in 2017.
