Effie Awards Europe 2021 Jury Announced
Brussels, 1 September 2021: The jury for the 2021 edition of the Effie Awards Europe has been announced by organiser EACA, the European Association of Communications Agencies.
Effie is a global forum that exists to lead, inspire and champion both the practice and practitioners of marketing effectiveness. The awards are open to all agencies and brands that want to be recognised for their most effective marketing efforts that made a difference and achieved real, measurable results.
This year’s jury is co-chaired by a client and an agency leader: Claire Miller, Global Head of Strategy at Lego Agency, Lego Group and Vincent Garel, Executive Vice President at TBWA\Groupe.
“I am super excited to have been selected to be co-chair of this year’s Effie Awards Europe, working with a panel of diverse and talented individuals from around the industry. Looking forward to immersing myself in the strategic work and ideas from the last year and having those rich conversations and debates with my fellow judges.”, said Claire Miller.
Vincent Garel commented: “Effectiveness is the true test of what happens when the smartest communication strategies and the brightest creative ideas meet the real world. It is the only test that matters. Effectiveness is the best shortcut to define communication’s ability to change the world by changing beliefs, attitudes and behaviours. I am thrilled to co-chair the 2021 edition of the Effie Europe, and I can’t wait to discover how marketers and agencies have risen to the unique challenges of our time.”
Judges look at a wide range of qualities in each campaign and evaluate entries based on proof that commercial communications was key to the success of the campaign. These qualities are summarised into four categories: Strategic Challenge, Creative Strategy, Bringing the Idea to Life and Effectiveness.
This year’s jury is composed of almost 100 industry professionals from 24 European countries and will determine 2021’s winners. The first round takes place between 30 September – 14 October. The final rounds are scheduled for 13 & 14 October (for Best of Europe), and 2 & 3 November (for multi-market/positive change effies) and will be moderated by Claire Miller and Vincent Garel. The Grand Effie Jury will meet on 22 November to choose the best case submitted this year, and will be moderated by Sven Huberts, Global Head of Design & Innovation, Dentsu International & Isobar’s Global Managing Partner. The winners will be announced at the online Effie Europe Awards Gala on 1 December. Check out the full jury list & profiles.
