Brussels, 3 May 2021: The Effie Awards Europe have announced the call for entries for the 2021 competition. Effie is a global forum that exists to lead, inspire and champion both the practice and practitioners of marketing effectiveness. The awards are open to all agencies and brands that want to be recognised for their most effective marketing efforts that made a difference and achieved real, measurable results.
In this year’s competition, Effie Europe has introduced new categories to better represent the marketing and business challenges that teams have overcome this year. They include a category for Gaming & E-Sports and Marketing Innovation Solutions, recognizing marketing’s role in creating business/product solutions and transforming customer experience.
To mark the numerous unexpected events of the past year, Effie created the Crisis Response / Critical Pivot category for brands that effectively pivoted their marketing programme or business activities in response to events such as Covid 19, Black Lives Matter, etc. A full list of categories and category definitions is available on www.effie-europe.com.
Judging takes place in two rounds. Round 1 takes into consideration the effectiveness based on the challenge, context & objectives, insigths & strategic idea, bringing the idea to life and results. During the Round 2, Jury meets to evaluate the finalists’ cases, including the creative material.
This year’s jury will be co-chaired by a client and an agency leader: Claire Miller, Global Head of Strategy at Lego Agency, Lego Group and Vincent Garel, Executive Vice President at TBWA\Groupe.
