EACA Is On A Lookout For A Public Affairs Intern!

The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA), a Brussels-based organisation representing full-service advertising, media agencies, and agency associations in Europe, is currently recruiting a Public Affairs Intern to assist EACA’s Senior Public Affairs Advisor. The position is available to start in September, 2024, and the internship period is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will support the Senior Public Affairs Advisor in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting in organising different Public Affairs events and policy briefings taking place in the European Parliament.
  • Conducting research and preparing policy briefings.
  • Providing administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining contact databases.
  • Assisting in drafting reports, newsletters, and other communication materials.
  • Supporting the coordination of public affairs projects and campaigns.
  • Engaging in lobbying activities, including organising meetings with politicians and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, as it is the working language of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from different nationalities.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, EU Studies, or a related field.
  • Interest in EU affairs, policy, and the advertising world.
  • Interest in lobbying and public affairs
