Winners Announced for the 2023 IMPACT Awards ZEAL Creative From the UK Scoops the Grand Prix

Brussels, 19 December 2023: The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) and its IMPACT Council have announced the winners of the 2023 IMPACT Awards for Interactive Marketing, Promotion and Activation.

The IMPACT Council represents the European standard of brand activation and integrated marketing communication and speaks for the industry that represents an enormous share of marketing spend and exceptional creative solutions.

31 winners representing 14 agencies from 4 countries were selected by a jury panel composed of 15 leading industry professionals from across Europe, chaired by Alvaro Alés, CEO of 360º Marketing & Communications. Alvaro Alés, CEO of 360º Marketing & Communications & IMPACT Awards Jury Chair, commented:

“On behalf of all the jury members of the European IMPACT Awards, we would like to extend our gratitude to all the agencies that participated in this year’s edition. Their outstanding marketing campaigns have demonstrated a significant impact on the advertisers’ brands, setting a higher standard of excellence in the industry across Europe. The awarded campaigns serve as a benchmark for the industry and for future generations of marketing professionals.”

Ireland took the lead with 19 trophies, followed by the UK, Czech Republic and Spain with 4 trophies respectively.

The Grand Prix for exceptional work was presented to ZEAL Creative for their campaign Carlsberg WWF x ZEAL for the Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company. Carlsberg aimed to leverage the growing trend of “buying better” by appealing to consumers’ increasing preference for ethically and socially responsible brands. With a 175-year history of striving for betterment, Carlsberg sought to recruit younger consumers (18-24) and shift existing beer drinkers (24-35) by emphasizing sustainability as a key driver. Through a partnership with WWF, Carlsberg aimed to authentically engage millions of beer drinkers in protecting the UK’s ocean wildlife, demonstrating tangible actions like the Snap Pack packaging innovation and a commitment to zero carbon emissions to build a reputation as a brand worth paying more for.
