The World Federation of Advertisers and the European Association of Communications Agencies have prepared a document that provides some recommendations for both agency and client, on how to organise, conduct and conclude a pitch process leading to a new client-agency relationship.
Please note that these recommendations and best practices are based on past experience and are merely meant as suggestions or proposals. They are not binding in any way whatsoever and clients and agencies are free to organise, conduct and conclude a pitch as they see fit.
Although this paper was prepared with multi-country assignments in mind, it may also be useful as a roadmap where the pitch is in just one country. In situations where national recommendations and best practices exist, these might provide additional guidance.
