A number of excellent campaigns entered the Euro Effie Awards in 2017, proving marketing effectiveness within chosen categories. To assist 2018 entrants with their case preparation, we assembled two files (product&service/specialty category and Positive Change winners) featuring case study examples from the previous year. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the first selection, shall we?

Without a doubt, the Grand Prix award-winning campaign “Kevin The Carrot – Making Christmas Amazing” by McCann Manchester and Aldi, stood out in the 2017 competition. It received overwhelmingly positive comments from the judges who praised the campaign’s strong communication strategy, implementation as well as impressive ROI.

The campaign by UncleGrey and Bolia.com, fundamentally transforming the brand’s identity, was awarded Gold in a Long-term Effectiveness category. Judges, among other aspects, were impressed by the creative strategy, clear context explanation and well-presented results.

DDB&tribal Warszawa and Amnesty International with their “Look Beyond Borders” campaign set out to change the perception of refugees in Europe with the media budget of only 23 €. And boy, did they deliver! “Look Beyond Borders” became the most effective campaign in the history of Amnesty International. The jury applauded the clearly set objectives, creative and media strategy as well as strong insight. The team behind the campaign walked away with a well-deserved Gold in a Small Budget category.

#CallBrussels campaign by AIR and Visit Brussels was announced a Silver Winner within two different categories: Media Innovation and Brand Experience. Real. Honest. Timely. Well-executed. Amazing. Creative. Those were some of the words expressed by the judges to describe the effort.

Maxus Warszawa and Huawei joined the ranks of the winners earning Silver for the “Huawei #BePresent” campaign. Similarly to the entries above, it received compliments on well-stated business objectives, creative strategy and compelling insight.
